Scewo GO
The modular Scewo GO electric wheelchair is available from €18,500 (CHF 22,800). This price includes the base model without the stair-climbing function. With the optional stair-climbing module, Scewo GO is available from €37,700 (CHF 42,200).
Based on our experience, the final net price is usually higher than the base price due to individual configuration preferences and additional features. However, GO may be fully or partially funded by health insurance providers. In Germany, GO is also listed in the Medical Aids Directory and therefore has its own medical aid number, which simplifies the application process.

The price of Scewo GO reflects the combination of a high-quality electric wheelchair, intelligent technology, and modular customizability. Features such as dynamic seat tilt, the biomechanical backrest, and automatic length compensation support comfort and individualized positioning.
The optional stair climber can be selected from the start or retrofitted later if needed. This allows GO to adapt flexibly to changing mobility needs and, depending on the living environment, may help avoid extensive structural modifications such as ramps or lift systems.
Scewo BRO
The stair-climbing Scewo BRO electric wheelchair is available from €35,150 (CHF 35,500). This price includes the base model with the stair-climbing function.

Are the costs covered by my health insurance provider?
You can finance a Scewo electric wheelchair through a health insurance provider, insurer, government office, or privately. Depending on your country, individual situation and degree of disability, the cost of an electric wheelchair may be covered in full or in part. In Germany, BRO and GO each have their own medical aid number, which can support the application process with your health insurance provider.

Am I eligible for a GO/BRO electric wheelchair?
People who are severely limited in their strength and/or mobility due to illness, an accident, or other reasons may be eligible for funding for an electric wheelchair such as Scewo BRO or GO. Depending on the severity of the mobility impairment, wheelchair users may be classified as care grade 3, 4, or 5 (Germany) or disability grade 1 to 4 (Switzerland). It is best to contact your local insurance provider in advance to find out about the requirements for coverage.
My health insurance provider won’t cover the costs. What now?
There are cases in which a health insurance provider in Germany or Switzerland denies funding or partial reimbursement, either in full or in part. In such cases, we’ll be happy to support you in filing an appeal. Thanks to the efforts of our Customer Advisory Team, many wheelchairs have ultimately been funded this way. We’ll also be happy to help you explore alternative funding options, such as foundations, associations, or private financing.
