Indications
Scewo wheelchairs are specifically designed for people who have lost the ability to walk or climb stairs, or who are living with a progressive condition and want to remain as independent as possible in everyday life. Depending on the level of mobility and individual needs, either a Scewo GO or Scewo BRO may be prescribed.

In a nutshell.
Driving mode
Scewo BRO is a self-balancing, stair-climbing electric wheelchair that can be controlled with a one-handed joystick without requiring trunk stability. Thanks to its two large wheels, it provides safe and agile mobility across a variety of surfaces.
Dynamic driving, combined with automatic seat tilt, may promote circulation, while the resulting movement may help prevent the development of pressure ulcers. Pressure points can also be specifically relieved through seat adjustments. More information about the seating options can be found in the “Customizability” section.
Scewo GO is a six-wheel electric wheelchair that offers a classic driving experience. The stair climber is available as an option and can be retrofitted later if needed. This allows GO to adapt flexibly to changing mobility needs.
The dynamic seat tilt, biomechanical backrest, and automatic length compensation support an ergonomic and individually adjustable seating position. Here too, pressure points can be specifically relieved through the various seat adjustments. More information about the seating options can be found in the “Customizability” section.
Extended reach through height adjustment mode
The vertical seat adjustment allows users to independently adapt their seating height to their surroundings and interact at eye level.
Eye-level lift (max. 90 cm)
The lift supports communication at eye level and active participation in both social and professional situations. The elevated position also makes it easier to reach higher work and storage surfaces. This allows users to manage everyday situations and tasks more independently and with less assistance.
Seat lift to transfer height (min. 44 cm)
The lowered seating position supports safe transfers to lower surfaces such as a bed or sofa. It also makes it easier to approach low tables comfortably, supporting more ergonomic use in everyday life.
Customizability
Controls
Scewo wheelchairs are controlled using a standard hand joystick. Depending on the user’s needs, the joystick can be fitted with alternative joystick attachments from Scewo or third-party providers. Thanks to adjustable sensitivity settings, very little finger strength is required for operation.
Both Scewo BRO and Scewo GO are operated via an integrated control console. BRO can also be controlled using the specially developed BRO app on a smartphone.
Transport & operation
The foldable backrest makes it easier to load BRO and GO into many standard passenger cars. Using a standard gaming controller as a remote control, both wheelchairs can be conveniently maneuvered from outside the vehicle via ramps.
Both models can also be used as passenger seats in a vehicle. This allows users to independently drive into an accessible taxi via a ramp and remain seated in their wheelchair during transport.
Therapeutic benefits
Features such as the standing assist and Relax Position can support therapeutic exercises in everyday life, for example as part of contracture prevention or sit-to-stand training. This can enable certain exercises to be carried out more independently, leaving more time during physical or occupational therapy sessions to focus on additional therapy goals.
Independence
BRO and GO support independent participation in everyday life. Features such as height adjustment mode and stair mode enable users to communicate at eye level, overcome everyday barriers such as stairs, steps, and thresholds without assistance, and independently reach objects positioned higher up or lower down.
