In a nutshell.

The key facts about our electric wheelchairs.

Scewo BRO is a self-balancing, stair-climbing electric wheelchair on two wheels that is controlled with a one-handed joystick without requiring trunk stability. Thanks to its two large wheels, it offers safe and agile mobility across a variety of surfaces.

Scewo GO drives on six wheels and offers the classic driving feel of an electric wheelchair. The stair climber is available as an option and can be retrofitted later if needed, allowing GO to adapt to changing mobility needs, for example in the case of progressive conditions.

Thanks to intelligent stair-climbing technology with lane-keeping assistance, BRO and GO can independently overcome a variety of obstacles, reducing the need for structural modifications to buildings.

The ability to communicate at eye level, combined with the increased reach provided by the height adjustment mode, supports greater social participation in everyday life.

The foldable backrest makes it easier to load BRO and GO into many standard passenger cars. Using a standard gaming controller as a remote control, both wheelchairs can also be conveniently maneuvered from outside the vehicle via ramps.

Both models can also be used as passenger seats in a vehicle. This allows users to independently drive into an accessible taxi via a ramp and remain seated in their wheelchair during transport.

Scewo electric wheelchairs can reduce the need for structural adaptations at home, at work, or in educational settings. In addition, they can help reduce the financial impact associated with relying on a caregiver.

Both Scewo BRO and GO have a German medical aid number, which is required when applying for funding through an insurance provider.

In Switzerland, Scewo GO is officially listed with Disability Insurance (IV), making it eligible to be considered for funding through the Swiss disability insurance system.

Information

Health insurance (Germany).

Scewo BRO and Scewo GO are the only stair-climbing mobility aids listed in the German Medical Aids Directory that are designed for independent use. They help users overcome everyday barriers such as steps, thresholds, and inclines, making it possible, for example, to travel independently to medical or therapy appointments.

Even after delivery, Scewo wheelchairs continue to receive regular software updates that add new functions. This can reduce the need for costly retrofits or replacement equipment and helps keep the wheelchair’s software technically up to date.

Using the log files, the medical supply store can identify defects remotely. This means that the problem is found more quickly and can be remedied more efficiently and easily. This also prevents long deployments of replacement equipment during maintenance.
