Cheers to the Scewo family

In September 2017, Bernhard Winter, Thomas Gemperle, and Pascal Buholzer decided to professionalise their student project and founded Scewo AG. Only the three of them started out in start-up life as brand-new young entrepreneurs.
Exactly five years later, they found themselves surrounded by 60 employees, dozens of BRO drivers, partners and other supporters at the Scewo Open Day.

According to the motto “We are all Scewo”, the whole afternoon and evening of 2 September was spent celebrating, eating and toasting to the future.

The visitors were able to experience at the stations of the different teams what is actually behind the development, production, and sale of our wheelchairs. From the test drive at the sales station to the staff quiz of the admin team to the analysis of the inner workings of our BRO at the production station – everyone could learn something new about BRO or Scewo. And those who were really attentive also found out the answers to our competition riddle, where you could win various great prizes.

Cheers to our guests

In the twilight, we had a barbecue together, musically accompanied by the rock band “ShrinX”. When he’s not on the road with ShrinX, their drummer and guitarist Luke makes sure that the questions and problems of our BRO crew are always solved as quickly as possible.

Thanks to the great late summer weather, the visitors were able to enjoy delicious drinks at the bar and test their accuracy at the “Hammer Game” until late in the evening. And those who still had some energy to get rid of could dance themselves tired indoors to the sounds of our in-house DJs – and then fill their bellies at the dessert buffet.

Cheers to our sponsors

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we were able to have an unforgettable day and spoil the visitors with free drinks and food. Anyone who wanted to contribute something could put it in our donation box, the proceeds of which went to the Cerebral Switzerland Foundation.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors by name. Delinat-Weindepot Winterthur and Brauerei Schützengarten made sure our glasses were well-filled and Technopark Winterthur supported us with seating and other infrastructure. VIVI KOLA AG, Hotel Säntispark, and Rutishauser-DiVino SA also provided material for the festival or the competition prizes.

We look back on a successful evening with beautiful sounds, good food and an even better atmosphere. May many more anniversary celebrations follow!
